STANCE, ANGLES & MOVEMENT:
Our goaltending program begins each week with the basics of Stance, Angles & Movement. We feel that it is very important for all of our goaltenders to have a strong knowledge of the following points; Square shoulders, Glove up & open, Skates shoulder width apart and stick flat on the ice.

THE PAD SAVE:
We will work very hard with each goaltender to emphasize the importance of the various techniques associated to The Pad Save. Some of the points that we will discuss, will be; The Butterfly Save, Staying Big In The Net and Keeping The Stick Flat On The Ice.

THE GLOVE SAVE:
The glove save is an integral part of the goaltending position. Our expert goaltending instructors will finely tune the following points; Twisting the wrist when making the blocker save, following the puck into the catching glove & stearing all rebounds to the corner.

THE BREAK-AWAY SAVE:
Our goaltending instructor will ensure that all of our goalies become proficient with their skills, in defending against the break-away. We will work on the following points; Attacking the shooter, telescoping back into the crease with timing & forcing the shooter to the side.
